Self-catering information

We only offer self-catering accommodation. We can recommend local caterers, or groups can cater for themselves; thereby managing their own budget and having the freedom to choose the timing of when they eat. It is possible for groups to arrange a supermarket delivery, and we can recommend local places to eat.

Onsite self-catering facilities

There are two fully-equipped kitchens in the main mill building.

  • The kitchen on the ground floor provides a galley-style kitchen: providing a good space for catering for large groups of people. The adjoining spacious dining room can sit up to 50 guests with refectory style tables. The dining room has direct access to the large patio and gardens. A large barbecue is available – guests need to provide their own charcoal and fire lighters.
  • The kitchen on the second floor is a good size for individual guests and smaller groups to use; with an adjoining dining room, seating up to 20 guests around oval tables. It is a lovely bright room with great views over the gardens and grounds. There is also a sofa area.

We will allocate one of the kitchens and dining rooms to your group. Individual guests or very small groups may have shared use of a kitchen.

Each kitchen has a large oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and freezer. All of the following is provided: glassware, crockery, cutlery, saucepans, oven trays, cloths, washing-up liquid, tea-towels.

Hot drinks facilities

Guests have access to kettles, an urn or auto-flow boiler. We provide tea-bags, instant coffee (caffeinated and de-caffeinated), and there is a coffee filter machine: we provide bags of fresh coffee, and flasks. We also provide sugar.

We provide fresh milk for day guests; overnight guests need to bring their own milk. Please provide your own alternative milks. There are UHT milk cartons available for guests staying overnight; kettles, tea and coffee sachets are available in bedrooms.
